Green Energy Capital Partners was founded in 2007 by John Curtis, a veteran of the renewable energy industry with a proven track record in utility-scale solar development. Before founding the firm, John served as East Coast Sales Manager for UPC Solar, a leading solar developer later acquired by SunEdison. Since its inception, Green Energy Capital Partners has developed over 220 megawatts of grid-connected solar projects across two continents, providing full-service solutions from site origination and permitting to engineering, procurement, and construction oversight.

We have successfully conducted feasibility, impact, and facility studies on two major solar projects within the PJM Interconnection system, and executed both a Construction Service Agreement (CSA) and an Interconnection Service Agreement (ISA)—demonstrating our ability to manage complex grid integration and interconnection processes with precision.

In addition to our technical and financial expertise, Green Energy Capital Partners has a proven ability to craft highly competitive grant applications, securing over $6 million in funding from state agencies and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for our solar energy projects. We bring this same strategic approach to our clients, helping them access valuable public funding opportunities that enhance project viability and return on investment.
